About Our Apiary

The Bight Bees Apiary is located Down East in Gloucester North Carolina on the banks of beautiful Sleepy Creek. It was founded in 2022 with 4 hives and has grown to 12. Ten of the hives are traditional vertical Langstroth hives. The remaining 2 are custom built horizontal hives utilizing Langstroth frames to enable compatibility with the traditional vertical Langstroth hives. There are also 2 swarm traps located on trees around the property.
